Kara Fitzgerald, ND, IFMCP, is engaged in clinical research on DNA methylation using a diet and lifestyle intervention developed in her virtual and in-person Functional Medicine clinic. She has published a consumer book, Younger You and Program based on her ground-breaking 8-week study that resulted in a 3-year reversal of biological aging. She also has a Younger You companion cookbook, Better Broths and Healing Tonics. Dr. Fitzgerald is on faculty at the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), and is an IFM Certified Practitioner. She regularly lectures internationally and hosts the podcast New Frontiers in Functional Medicine. She received her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Oregon.
Colleen Cutcliffe, PhD
CEO and co-founder of Pendulum
Colleen Cutcliffe is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Pendulum. She has more than 20 years of experience leading and managing biology teams in academia, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. Prior to starting Pendulum, Colleen was the senior manager of biology at Pacific Biosciences and a scientist at Elan Pharmaceuticals. Colleen completed her postdoctoral studies at Northwestern’s Children’s Memorial Hospital. Colleen received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from John Hopkins University and her B.A. in Biochemistry from Wellesley College.
Kristin Neusel, MS, RD, LD, CDCES NASM-CPT
RDN at Pendulum
Kristin Neusel is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist with experience in rare and ultra rare genetic diseases focusing on glucose and lipid metabolism. She has spent the past 2.5 years focusing on her passion of microbiome nutrition. Prior to joining Pendulum, Kristin has more than 10 years of experience as a dietitian working in clinical and industry settings building out disease-specific nutrition programs. She is passionate about making nutrition fun for all! She is President of her local Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics chapter, and recently also became a Certified Personal Trainer. She holds both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Human Nutrition & Dietetics from Southern Illinois University.
